I absolutely thrive on hearing Reece tell me about her inner struggle with her future plans. Her question- how is she going to have time to do all the things she wants to do when she is an adult?

Her vet clinic will have to function on its own at times when she is making her animal cop runs. In the meantime, her best seller and vet TV show will demand a lot of her attention which will cut into her adventure movie acting career. Not to mention the demands of taking care of llamas, pigs, 7 dogs, donkeys, horses, a capybara, and the animals with disabilities rescue farm she will run. (A “ninja” used to be on this list, as well).

That girl has some major plans for her life. I respect that and will help her get there as much as I can.

But what matters most to me is, not that her plans succeed, but that her God given purpose triumphs.!

Did you plan to be working this stress filled job when all you wanted was to be a mom? Did you plan to wake up changing diapers and going showerless for days at a time when you received that degree?

Oh, if we could only fully grasp the beauty of God’s purpose for us where we are.

Plans change, fail, succeed, disappoint,… And every other adjective out there. But the Lord’s purpose- THAT is the key to our contentment.

Maybe in a few years I will know right where to go when I need a home for that three legged dog I find- Reece’s Rescue Range. Or I may feel myself being watched by a lurking animal cop ninja. But my prayer for Reece and you is that you succeed in His purpose!

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”- Proverbs 19:21
