It’s been a while since we’ve spoken. I thought I’d try again to break the silence between us and write you a brief note. Sorry if you think that the internet isn’t the best place to contact you. I’ve tried other means, but you haven’t responded. Plus, you’re always on here.
I don’t mean this in a prideful kind of way, but I do have a lot of wisdom, and I am pretty knowledgeable. And for the life of me, I don’t know why you always second guess whether my advice is good or right for you. It’s both. It’s good, and it’s right. Deep down you know it’s true. I’m always right. Now that I think about it, I can’t recall a time that I’ve ever been wrong,… just saying. And you know this, yet you never seem to want to hear what I have to say anymore. It’s like you firmly decide what you want to do and you just run off and start doing it. You don’t even ask me anymore what I think.
Listen, I love you, you know I do… But you really should listen to me more often. And I do wish you’d stop pointing your finger at me. You know I didn’t do this, you did. If you would have just listened to me in the first place, you might not be in this mess. But I’m not going to bring that up. All I really want at this point is to see you back up on your feet. I want to see you rebound from this. And you can. I can help you if you’ll let me.
Now. Are you going to try and fix this yourself, or are you willing to listen and do it my way? If you want to talk, I’ll be around. You know where to find me. Until then, just know that I still love you deeply and I miss you.
Our choices have consequence. And sometimes, choices made without godly counsel can leave us with heartache, irreversible damage, and much regret for months or even years to come. But for the child of God, we have access to the creator of the earth and the heavens. And all throughout scripture He implores us to seek His wisdom and counsel in the choices we make. It’s available to us. All we have to do is ask Him.
JOB 38:4-7 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?”
JAMES 1:4-5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind”
